General Booking

All appointments must be booked online only through the Detroit Beauty Bar website or app.

A valid card on file is required to secure all appointments — no exceptions.

New clients must complete a consultation before booking any maintenance services.

Appointment reminders are automatically sent via email and/or text. Please ensure your contact information is correct.
Late Policy
-
10-minute grace period allowed.
-
If you are 11–14 minutes late, a $40 late fee will be applied if time still allows the service.

At 15 minutes late, your appointment will be automatically canceled and charged as a same-day cancellation.

This policy protects the timing and quality of every client’s session.
Cancellation / No-Show Policy
To respect your time and mine:

Cancel or reschedule 48+ hours before your appointment → No fee.

Cancel within 48 hours → 50% of service total will be charged.
-
Same-day cancellations or no-shows → 100% of service total will be charged.
All fees are charged to the card on file.
Repeated policy violations may result in booking restrictions.

Retie payments are due at the end of each appointment.

Membership packages must be paid in full at enrollment.
Clean Hair Policy (Dry Services Only)

Detroit Beauty Bar does not offer shampooing.
Please arrive with clean, dry hair washed within 24–48 hours.

Hair must be:

Free of oils
-
Free of conditioners
-
Free of heavy products or buildup

If hair is not clean:

A $25 prep fee may be applied if time allows, OR Your appointment may be canceled and charged per policy.
No Extra Guests
To maintain a peaceful and safe environment, no extra guests or children are allowed unless they are also being serviced.
Membership / Package Policy

Packages do not cover retie services — they lock in dates + secure pricing.

All package fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Packages cannot be shared or split.

Missed appointments do not roll over.

Packages are limited to one complimentary reschedule with 48+ hours' notice.

All appointments must follow Detroit Beauty Bar’s booking and cancellation policies.
Holiday Policy

No appointments are accepted on:

Major holidays

The day before

The day after

Holiday exceptions (if allowed) include a separate holiday service fee.
Service Integrity Policy
To maintain healthy Sisterlocks:

Do not retighten your own hair between visits

Do not allow another stylist to work on your grid

Avoid excessive product use, knotting, or tying your locs
Additional time or fees may apply if corrective work is needed.
